Art Quote- Excerpt from my summer reading

The Way to Paradise- by Mario Vargas Llosa, Nobel Prize Winner is fiction with a setting in the life of artist Paul Gauguin.

"The order of reality was counterbalanced by the painting's upper half: there the floating flowers were sparks, gleams, featherlight phosphorescent meteors aloft in a bluish mauve sky in which the colored brushstrokes suggested a cascade of pointed leaves."

about the painting "Manao tupapau"

Loved finding you from Seth's Pulse post- and happy to share the page with you. So glad to be meeting you and your artworld! Lots of books here and quotes to reflect on. Always enjoy new finds- and you and your blog are one of them!
Your figure drawings are lots of fun to look at-with Mr Charisma being my favorite!
