November 10, Art every day diary post
Did/Been- My Four day weekend starts today. Acupuncture, trip to the library, visiting Moncton City Hall Gallery and the Capital Gallery, Dolma's International Grocery for a cashew snack, got the Tobago board game and a book order from Amazon in the post today, errands, lots of reading, learning the new treasure hunting game with Jace, an etsy baby step of getting the widget on my blog, thanks to help from Tracy from Prana Light (if you want to know too, just go here).
Back in the studio- As of yet, nadda. Looking at the walls. Looking at works in progress. Looking at finished paintings.
How I felt- Guilty? Nope. Looking can be just as important as doing. I can tell today's 'being' instead of 'doing' wasn't from fear. It was from love. While this wasn't part of my plan, it feels right to go with it.

Sounds like you had a great day. Is you spinning wheel from NZ? I had one from there that looks very much like yours.
Look how good your Etsy mini widget looks! ;o) Glad my tip helped and you're all set. Fun to see this photo of you, Shayla--super relaxed. LOVE your purple walls!! And beautiful spinning wheel. Heirloom? I think a healthy portion of nothing is as important as healthy portions of doing, too. Do less, be more. :o) Happy Weekend, my friend--enjoy the 4 days((HUGS))
The spinning wheel is from New Zealand and in a sense it's an heirloom. Not that it's old. My mother bought it in 1983 but it was one of her most valued (as in favourite, not expensive) possessions and when she gave it to me in February, it had an "inheritance" feel to it.
Beautiful photo Shayla ... and the spinning wheel sets the scene. It feels like ideas are brewing over there.
