Check in for Art Every Day: I picked up the joural practice I'd been doing before, and forgot about (photo above). For instructions check out Bridgette's art journalling prompt "A month in Review" , I colored another sketch book entry with garish colors of epic ugliness, and made homemade thank you cards for people who helped out with the show.
Here's some of the press we got for the show. Sylvie Mousseau wrote an excellent article for L'Acadie Nouvelle. These next two papers have posted the articles online and I've linked right to them. Sheila Lagacé wrote an extensive piece for L'étoile, and an article appeared in the Times and Transcript . Jeanne is also going to talk about our mentorship experience on Luc et Luc, a daily talk show. I'm scared about being on TV and am glad that I get to watch the making of this show. I think it will help me get over that fear.
Claire Richard, pictured here with her husband, Homer, is a regular blog reader, but doesn't blog herself. I'm so glad she introduced herself this weekend at the Moncton Studio Tours.
It's been a goal of mine lately to remember names. Hah! Not going so well. Since I didn't write these down (mistake), I'm paranoid I've got them wrong. I do remember Homer, for sure. Claire, if you're out there today and I got your name wrong, please drop me a line :)

Yes, you got our names right just spelled differently -Omer and Clare. Still checking your blog.
Keep it coming. I learn much.
Wow Shayla, things are happening! Darn I wish I could watch the TV talk show.
Congratulations on your show and WOW -- great coverage in print and TV. Your mentor program sounds wonderful! Good luck with the show.
What a fun post, made me want to come on over for coffee/tea and meet all your followers and friends.
I'm way too scattered to keep a journal, but I admire those who do!!
TV? Wow!! And congratulations on the press too! (Just wish I could read French!)
Such fun news on the great coverage Shayla! Will be checking all the links! :o) Very inspiring to see a glimpse from your journal... Happy Week, my friend ((HUGS))
M.Kate, I'm not scheduled yet. There's a posibility of a TV segment for me to follow. For now, I'm going to watch and cheer Jeanne on for this show. It will be a great learning experience.
Hello Clare, Thanks for the comment! It's great to hear from you and now I know your names for sure. Phew!
Robyn, the Francophone community in our area is especially arts focused. It goes a long way towards 'making things happen.'
Peggy, thanks for your encouragement. I'm not on the TV show, though. It's my mentor, Jeanne Leblanc Mullin. They'll be interviewing her about our mentorship. I'm gearing up, with Jeanne's help, to contacting television media.
Patrice, we all have ways that work best for us and you're welcome over for tea anytime. I've got Caramel Apple, Honeybush, and Camomile. Which shall I pour for you? ;)
Jane, thanks! TV's covering our story from my mentor's perspective, but so far I'm not on the show. Actually-Phew! I have mixed feelings about being on TV. I was happy with the newspaper coverage.
Thanks, Tracy. I was happy with the coverage. Hope you had a good week.
oh you are a brave one Shayla, to venture into "The World of Remembering Names"...
I'd fail that class miserably!!!
