A Day of Sharing Song

"Who couldn't use a few new songs in their hearts?" says L.K. Ludwig from The Poetic Eye.

Today I invite you to slide around the house in your stocking feet dancing to Feist.

I've been working on a Mozart experiment. I love Mozart and I wanted to see how he would influence my artwork. The Brahms experiment worked really well, but as I was getting into this painting I realized that I was ready to throttle something after listening to those perky sixteenth notes. I kind of did throttle something... here's a corner of the painting in progress... poor thing.

Ahh! Silence. That felt better, but now I was decidedly cranky. Feist's sassy tune was a great mood modifier. In the quest for inspirational studio music, I'm going to check out what other bloggers have posted for their day of song sharing. Care to join me?

I actually like the 'throttled' corner of your painting - hard, quick strokes!, nice.....my bestest friend is a huge Feist fan, I'm just a regular fan.....

Great song!! No wonder you're rattled! ;o) Maybe Mozart isn't your gig right now...Maybe you need something more full blast?! Mozart's been around a while...I'm sure he won't mind waiting for you while you switch to another gear. Still, I must say I think this work has huge potential! Can't wait to see what's next...Happy Days ((HUGS))

Jeane, thanks. You've made me take a look at it with fresh eyes. Something to think about. Yeah,I'm just a regular fan too. She's with my current studio tunes.

Heh, Heh, Mary Kate maybe you'll get an ipod so you can have it blasting into your ears in the house too?

I'm more of a full blast kind of person, Tracy, trying very hard to slow down. Guess I couldn't take it anymore! You're right- switching gears (at least to third) was a lot of fun.

Megan, yeah. She always does some neat coreography. I liked the look of this too.

Thanks, Jane. What to do with that piece is still a puzzle...

I really like the - Birch trees in Fall - effect in the half-painting. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves. :)

I like that my eyes can swimm around in the turmoil of the wild corner and then rest in the trees :)
Feist is in my studio too!

I also went through a Mozart phase having read the book The Mozart Effect. I discivered there are a few of his pieces that sooth me into the right frame of mind but a lot that irritate me while I work.

Bindu, thank you. It may be awhile :D

Thanks for the persective, Jo.

Yes Robyn, the Mozart effect! That's why I wanted to try it. Thanks for mentioning that. A solid recording of his work doesn't do the trick, I'll have to pick and choose like you.
