Behind the Scenes- Who Does She Think She Is

How about dinner and a movie? I'm hosting a screening of "Who Does She Think She Is" by Academy Award Winning director, Pamela Tanner Boll (of Born into Brothels) at Café Aberdeen, 140 Botsford, March 15. The café opens at 5:00 for dinner, the film starts at 7:00 and will be followed by a discussion. The suggested ticket price is $10 with all proceeds going to Cameras for healing*.

The film features various artistic disciplines such as music and sculpture and I would have been satisfied  with the inspiring artwork and the behind the scenes, dedicated studio habits alone. It does have even more to offer as testified by many honours and awards.

“(The film’s) impulse is visionary, not plaintive. Exploring the challenges of being a female artist and, in particular, the thornybalancing act betweenmotherhood and artistic expression, Pamela Tanner Boll and Nancy Kennedy have made a vibrant film.”  SHERI LINDEN, Los Angeles Times

*Cameras for Healing-- a project that includes 5 local female artists this year and that has done much to promote creativity, healing, and women's well being.
