Did/Been- A former co-worker invited me to a special event at her precious stones and crystals shop, Carnelia Crystals. I saw a couple familiar faces and I adopted 3 beautiful stones. Plenty of writing work for special projects yet to do, so I chipped away at that. Preparing for a class I'm going to be teaching, writing materials and take home kits for the students. Moving around more furniture. Tonight Jace and I are going out to listen to some live music. I realized today that I hit post number 300 yesterday without noticing. That can't go by without celebrating with a give away. I'll post details on Monday.
Back in the Studio- Working on my brush strokes with a less than ideal paintbrush while I wait for my new Chinese brushes to arrive.
How I felt- Grateful for my all the blog readers that have come, gone and stayed over the years. There's no way I would have kept writing here if it wasn't for them and the benefits have been numerous. When I was housebound for an entire year at the peak of my health problems, I didn't even go out to get the mail. These relationships helped me keep my sanity. A big thank you, you beautiful dearhearts!
Random thought today- I've heard it said that woman is the ultimate expression of physical beauty on earth. I think gems and crystals are pretty high on that list. The Toronto Museum stone exhibit had me captivated for hours. Awe inspiring.

This is a happy post... And gems and crystals are pretty high up on my own beauty list too. The adoption of stones is a pretty scared thing, sacred moment... I love this work of yours on display today. I like how your work is at once vibrant, and calming... :o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
