Shayla, I really enjoyed your tutorial (and looking out your window at the rain). The gratitude journal idea is something I need to do .... and keep up. Great studio too!
Its so wonderful to have met you through AEDM! I enjoyed your little video Terry is right! You ARE a complete natural :) I started making "JOY journals" probably over a year ago now and am totally with you on how it changes your life! Thankyou for sharing your tips and suggestions....I am grateful for them :)
Shayla, my internet connection is super slow so seeing this video is also super slow, but I will come back and see it again - the full version. Love this ..its as if I am so near to you :) Hugs...M
North light without glare, ahhh perfect... and you are not locked away either, with your wide view of the sidewalk, street and the weather.. what a wonderful place to create!
Oh, I could just cry... this is so beautiful, Shayla, this window into your creative world. And such windows your have now too--what light! Such a wonderful new space is your studio. The gold segment is just what I needed right now as I am intrigue with metallics and how to archive a real look. Art journalling is something I will be exploring next year and looking forward to it. I like your idea of coming the art with gratitude. I've done gratitude journalling off & on for some years, so combing two arts--art & writing--inspires. This tutorial was outstanding...every moment was like being there sipping tea along with you. Thank you. :o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
Hi Shayla, What a wonderful post. I sat down with a fresh cup of coffee when I saw you had a video. :-) Love your insights on gold paint. I will have to try that product. I don't like the plastic effect that so many of the golds have. If I moved our living room into the former dining room, then I could have some wonderful north light, too. But I am grateful to have a husband who doesn't complain that I've taken over the dining room for my studio. That is enough. Being grateful & conscious of it does change your life. I have lived that too & thank you for sharing that so beautifully. xo
You look SO HAPPY in your new space! I bet my friend, the purple sofa is happy, also. Warms my heart. And I'm a rainy-day-painter, too, so your vid is inspirational. Keep doing what you're doing.
