New Painting to match the couch ;)

"Wild Thicket Fruits", Oil on canvas 16x20" © 2010 Shayla Perreault Newcomb.

"Creating is life giving and involving. When one creates, there is often a wonderful experience of the fusing of the spiritual and the sensual, the meeting of spirit and matter, and the joining of humanness and Divinity in a special moment in time." Robert Fritz from the book, Creating.
P.S. to DJ at DJ's Studio- I've got my purple back!

I remember the pretty purple couch and this painting is just perfect :) Totally agree with you about the MIL - maid tagging along certainly makes everything much better haha! Happy weekend Shayla.

Oooo...those luscious purples and blues...mmm... This is yummy, Shayla! And perfect "match" for your sofa. ;o) I LOVE these words... "fusing of the spiritual and the sensual"--that is art, that is creation distilled in word--it is a meeting with the divine. :o) Thank you for taking us into your art, heart and home. Happy Weekend, my friend ((HUGS))

As I visit here, I feel as if I have been lifted to a higher level of awareness of what is beautiful. Only to find there is beauty is nearly EVERYTHING!

PEACE!

Leslie, yes even if they say the mechanic's car is always broken, and the cobbler's family doesn't have shoes, the artist's family always has art.

Donna, thank you. I like him too.

DJ- you make me laugh, thanks :D

Steve-thank you for your thoughts on beauty.
