International Artists' Day

Yay, International artists' day! A good day to take an artist friend out to lunch, do something creative, or go gallery hopping. To observe international artists' day, I'm going to paint. Big surprise :) Oh, yes. I'm also going to stop in at Heron Bay Gallery.

The show is coming along well. I've been in serious studio hibernation and probably wouldn't have even shown my nose outside today if it wasn't for a doctor's appointment in an hour. Chopped up mornings don't make for productive painting.

Here's a painting of the week. This one will be in the December show. The wires wrapped around the four squares are from an old copper brillo pad. The "threads" are sewed on and interlaced with a bit of gold wire.
