Warm Woolies for Fall

Hello! I moved back home this week. Still very tired, so I'll keep this short and sweet with lots of photos. This is an afghan I finished before I left. The wool is from Fleece Artist in Nova Scotia and is sooooo soft.

Just loved the curly mohair! Doesn't it look like mermaid's tresses?

This is the easiest pattern ever. I cast on the regular amount for an afghan. Does 70 stitches sound right? I think it was seventy. Just knit a row garter stitch with one type of yarn and switch to another ball for the next row. Clip your yarn at the end of each row, leaving a long tail and tie a knot. This will be the fringe. Keep repeating the steps 'till done.

Done and ready for snuggling.

Shayla, thanks for stopping by and the sweet comments...but who is the fuzzy star of the post. Having a 25 year stint in the dog grooming biz and back at it again after a 10 year retiremnet (yeah right) I tend to notice everyones dogs right away. What a sweet face and in some of my older posts you will see pics of before and after shots of some of my clients. But what a perfect place to groom dogs, my lil' pink house.

You must be feeling the fall season heading your way too, into the 30-40's at night this week...I am so NOT ready for winter!!!

Have a wonderful fall day.

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind comments, everyone :D

Sharon, the "fuzzy star" is a pomeranian with a tiny nose. I'm guessing your Scratchy is a terrier?

This is gorgeous and I love the effect of tying off each new colour and forming the fringe. We're coming into summer in Australia, but I want to make one of these for myself next autumn.
Thanks for sharing and the link to where you got the fleece.
I love the name too...mermaids afghan.
